3 Things I am Grateful For

It’s Thanksgiving tomorrow and there is SOOO much to be thankful for in this amazing life! I have a daily routine which includes journal writing, a gratitude practice and meditation. It grounds me, energizes me and starts my day off in the best possible way. The rest of the day can bring in its own challenges but at least I know I started my day off with intention and purpose.

I feel so overwhelmed with gratitude that I want to share 3 Things that I am Grateful For as well as give you some actionable tips if you aren’t necessary feeling so thankful right now.

  1. As some of you may know, I launched my GoFundMe Campaign to help me self publish my book, “Survivor to Thriver”, that is scheduled to be completed by Summer 2018. THANK YOU to every single person who has supported me through donations as well as sharing my campaign to your network. Your love and support mean SO MUCH to me and it pushes me to continue with my mission and purpose to change the world. I know this book is going to change lives. It will help others overcome their own trauma, find healing and move further along their own spiritual journeys. For all those who have a passion project, feel called to do something, have a dream they are holding back on… JUST DO IT! You and your limiting beliefs are the only things holding you back. Each and every person, (especially the ones reading this who have access to the internet) has the means and opportunity to create the life you truly want to live. You owe it to yourself to be the best version of yourself and you are the only person that can fulfill that.
  2. THANK YOU to my TRIBE! My group of girlfriends who just “get me” and are growing with me on this spiritual path that I am on. I love that we love, support and lift each other up. Thank you for giving me the space to talk openly and authentically about anything and everything from my own insecurities, my challenges, my dreams, etc. My TRIBE is also the amazing people I have met through the internet and holistic wellness/spiritual events that I have been attending in Miami. The men and women who I connect with on our private Facebook Groups like Impacting Millions, YOM Tribe, Soul On Fire Tribe… My Instagram friends who love to talk about energies, crystals, spirit guides, akashic records, angels, aliens, past lives, and more! We have found each other because we are vibing on the same frequency! Thank you for your light and your presence! I truly appreciate you! If you don’t have friends or family that are on the same spiritual path as you are, go online! There are many groups online that are full of supportive, compassionate and loving people. There are mobile apps that teach you how to meditate or practice yoga. Go on Meetup.com to find people near you with your same interests. Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and meet new people who also want to be aligned with their Highest Self and find their soul’s purpose.
  3. We often don’t give ourselves enough credit so this last thing I am grateful for is MYSELF. Self love and self care has not been easy for me. For years, I was my own worst enemy. I hated myself and what I thought I was. I tried to silence my Inner Voice, my Highest Self, my spirit guides and angels through destructive behavior, drug and alcohol abuse which caused depression and suicide attempts. Years of childhood sexual abuse can do severe damage to you and cause years of trauma long after the actual abuse has already stopped. BUT, I had to learn that I am NOT my past. I shouldn’t live in shame, guilt and silence. That if I wanted my life to change, I had to look inward. I had to things differently that what I was doing. I had to take back responsibility for my own life, my actions, my words, my thoughts, my energy. Ultimately, I create my own happiness… I AM Love. I am the co-creator of my Universe. I can derive strength from my past to be of service to others and make a positive impact in our world. I’m thankful for my own journey, how far I have come, and how much more amazing things I will be doing now that I have a clear vision and purpose. Practice self love. Be your own best friend and cheerleader. Do things that make you light up and happy. Listen to the whispers of your soul and Inner Voice. Laugh often. Surround yourself with happy, positive and encouraging people. Remove yourself from toxic relationships. Meditate. Pray. Practice yoga. Take care of yourself. The healthier we are in mind, body and spirit, the more we can actually do to help others.
