Anyone else obsessed with using chia seeds? I love them! Chia seeds are super rich in nutrients and they are versatile. I love using them as toppings for avocado toast, in my smoothies and to make quick and easy chia pudding.
Chia pudding has tons of fiber, rich in antioxidants, omega-3s and aid in weight loss! Anything that helps keep me full longer AND helps me lose weight is a winner in my book!
Here’s a ridiculously easy chia seed pudding made with OWYN Vanilla Plant-Based Protein. OWYN stands for “Only What You Need.” They are an awesome brand that makes vegan and allergen free protein drinks and powders.
My favorite flavor is their Vanilla and the Coffee also pretty good. Their protein drinks are delicious and perfect for people with an active lifestyle. I can just grab a drink from the fridge and toss it in my bag.
Recipe for OWYN Vanilla Chia Pudding Recipe
3 Tbsp – Chia Seeds
1 Cup – OWYN Vanilla Protein Drink (or any other plant-based milk)
Toppings: Bee Pollen, Coconut Flakes, Organic Blackberries, Raw Almonds and Dried Cranberries
- Mix the chia seeds and OWYN Vanilla Protein Drink in a cup or glass container. Make sure to mix them well so they thicken evenly. Set aside in the fridge for 15 minutes then stir again. I like to do this so that it’s a rich and thick pudding, instead of having globs of chia seeds at the bottom of your cup. You can also leave this overnight which I do sometimes, then add the toppings the next morning.
- Once the pudding is thick, add your toppings. I like to mix it up with various fruits, nuts and whatever else I fancy. I love mixing different textures so that I have a crunch to contrast the soft pudding.
- Enjoy! It’s really that easy to make and enjoy this!
